Creating the Right Impression
Date: 13th May 2009
IT is crucial that to create the best impression in the market place you present yourself well and nowhere is that more vital than selecting the right printing company to produce your advertising and promotional material.
People from all walks of life may need to call on the services of a printer at some time, and it can be a dilemma finding the right firm.
As in any trade or industry there will be cowboys; anybody can set themselves up in business with a computer and a printing machine and even more established companies may not be able to deliver the consistently high standards you require.
Just going for the cheapest quote is not the best way of choosing your printer – it could prove to be a false economy if the end product turns out to be not what you hoped for.
*Word of mouth is always the finest recommendation so talk to other people who have had printing work done and also find examples of work you admire and research who produced them. With no sales force at Kingfisher Print and Design, we have achieved most of our £3m turnover through recommendations alone.
*Ask for samples from firms you are considering, getting an idea of their capabilities and looking at colour, picture quality and paper finish, discovering your preferences.
*Make sure your chosen printer has been accredited with industry standards so you can be confident of their credentials. For example our company-wide colour management system complies to the ISO 12647-2 colour standard and we recently achieved the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) award for our use of forest friendly papers.
*Find out exactly what services your chosen printer provides as part of their quotation, making sure you know what extra costs you may incur. Ask if they will be completing all the processes themselves - if they are outsourcing, then ask who they are working with.
*Be confident that the people you are dealing with will listen to you and respond to your needs.
For example here at Kingfisher Print and Design we recently invited clients to complete a questionnaire which, while revealing that we are already achieving high levels of customer satisfaction, showed us the areas where we could make even more progress and we are acting on those recommendations.
Understanding our client needs and the industry in which they work, ensures that we develop a long term strong relationship
We are confident that every aspect of our business will stand up to scrutiny and actively encourage clients to come in and see what we do. We know that we have an unrivalled commitment to consistent quality which comes not just from our investment in the best and most up-to-date technology but especially from our staff, a dedicated and professional team constantly striving to improve the service we provide. Above all, we believe in honesty and transparency with all our clients to ensure great working relationships.
